WEEK 37 - NOVEMBER 2002
That familiar "clunk".
There is a sound that we have become all too familiar with. It is the sound of Joshua's head striking the living room floor (carpeted, thank God). Ever since he has started pulling himself up on the couch, he of course has become quite an expert at falling. I used to rush to his aid whenever I heard this sound. But I've gotten so used to it, that now it only warrants a glance in his direction to make sure he's ok.
Cheryl asked me, "How many times can a baby bang his head and still be ok?"
I guess we'll find out.
Always my fault.
Why are dads always blamed for everything?
The other day Joshua was cruising along by the couch, and Cheryl was sitting right next to him. I heard the "clunk", and looked up to see Cheryl picking him up to comfort him. There wasn't an ounce of guilt on Cheryl's face at all.
So why is it that whenever he falls down when I'M nearby it's all MY fault? But when Cheryl's there, it's just an ACCIDENT?
When I brought up this question, Cheryl's answer - because she's the primary caregiver, and so nothing's ever her fault.
It's MONKEY TIME!
So, living in Southern California I have to mention our beloved Anaheim Angels. The whole family are big fans, and little Joshua is no exception. And yes, I got to go to game 1!
