WEEK 66 - MAY 2003
Joshua Appleseed
It's funny when kids start to really insist on getting their own way. Sometimes it's over such trivial things too. Joshua loves apples, and whenever we feed him one we can't seem to peel it fast enough. He chows through each piece and demands another faster than we can peel. Well, no more. Now he sees us pull that shiny red round thing out of the fridge and he has to have the whole apple in his hands right away. It's really fun watching him try to take bites out of a whole apple. It takes him a while but he eventually gets his teeth into it. And it keeps him occupied for a good half hour or so. I'm just glad that he hasn't discovered the fruit drawer in the fridge yet. Because when he does, we're gonna have a drawer-full of apples with one bite out of each. But I guess there could be worse things than a child who demands to eat fruit.
