AskDrSears.com - FAQ "SPICY BREASTMILK?"

SPICY BREASTMILK?
"Can my baby taste it in the milk if I’ve eaten something spicy? Also, if I want to drink, how long does it take for the alcohol to leave my system? I was thinking about pumping and then throwing it until it has left my system?"

Yes, most moms report that their baby will seem to react negatively to the taste of the milk after mom eats certain foods, mainly the spicy foods. While the milk taste will vary from day to day, most babies don’t seem to mind – most of the time. Regarding the alcohol question, I answered this just about a year ago, click here for my answer.
