What is a vaccine-friendly doctor?
Some parents choose not to vaccinate their kids. Others want to partially vaccinate. Some aren't sure what they want to do, and they want help figuring what will be best for their child. If you fit into any of these categories, you may have a hard time finding a doctor. I know where I live and work, in Orange County, California, we are one of the only practices that take such patients. Most doctors around here kick patients out of their practice for not vaccinating, or for asking too many questions. That's why I've created a database of a list of doctors who are friendly toward parents who want help with the vaccine decision or who want to delay or decline vaccines. The doctors listed here will have read, or be familiar with, my book and contacted me to have their practice listed here as a place such patients can come and feel welcome.
Please be aware that just because a physician's office appears on this list, that does NOT necessarily imply that they will be comfortable or supportive of every vaccine decision you may make. Some doctors on this list may not be comfortable with a child remaining completely unvaccinated. Some doctors may not be able to offer a particular brand or form of a vaccine that you may ask for. While the doctors on this list are here to serve you, you may not necessarily feel that one you choose is a good fit, or vice versa. Physicians are placed on this list at their request and do NOT go through any type of screening process or evaluation by Dr. Sears.

Please Note! The doctors listed here want to do their best to provide you with vaccine advice and alternative schedules. In order to best serve you, please do NOT call their offices and use their staff's valuable time and energy asking numerous questions over the phone. This takes them away from caring for patients in the office and makes it more difficult for them to provide care for YOU when you are in their office. Some doctors have asked that I remove them from this listing because they have been inundated with phone calls from parents who want to spend a long time on the phone seeking advice and asking numerous questions over the phone instead of simply waiting for their appointment.
I know that you all are looking for a doctor to serve you, but this type of situation actually does a disservice to this whole endeavor. So, I ask that you PLEASE simply call the doctor near you, perhaps ask one or two simple questions about why you want an appointment, and then make an appointment and save all your vaccine questions for your face-to-face appointment. Please respect the doctor's staff's time and patients by following these guidelines so the Vaccine Friendly Doctor's List can continue to grow.
