In our experience of parenting our own eight children and 40 years of pediatric practice, we’ve learned a lot of strategies. First, discipline means having the right relationship with your child more than the right techniques. Discipline also means giving your children the tools to succeed in life. Here are the tools we have found to work for most families most of the time. We first want to help you understand why children behave the way they do and then how to discipline them through these behaviors.
